Wow! What a game you saw last night if you had Los Angeles Dodgers tickets, when Chad Billingsley threw a no hitter for the WIN_TEAM!! Dodgers pitcher Chad Billingsley (4.22 ERA) got the win, while Barry Zito (3.45 ERA) took the loss for the Giants. Chad Billingsley went 9 solid innings for the Dodgers, allowed 5 hits, no home runs and no earned runs with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. The Giants’s starter Barry Zito went 7.1 innings, allowed 6 hits, one home run and 2 earned runs with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. Sergio Romo (2.17) also pitched for the Giants. With the win, Billingsley’s record goes to 8-5, while Zito is at 8-5.
In addition to the 2 runs, the Dodgers scored 7 hits and committed no errors. It wasn’t a huge day for anyone at the plate for the Dodgers, as nobody managed more than 2 hits. Matt Kemp had a tough day at the plate, leaving 4 runners on base. The Giants didn’t have anyone with a big night with not one batter getting more than 2 hits. The Giants scored no runs, 5 hits and no errors.
